Our next batch of classes at DIYcave have now been scheduled and are available to book. Here they are, in chronological order:
Jewelry Class: Wire Styling
Monday, April 27th, 6:30pm to 8:30pm. $35.00
In this wire styling class, you’ll use basic jewelers tools to make a pair of beautiful 1″ to 1-1/2″ long sterling silver earrings. You will also be instructed on how to use different kinds of metal, hammering, texturing, polishing as well as other top secret tips and techniques to get you started making your own jewelry.
Thursday, April 30th, 6pm to 8pm. $30.00
In this “hands-on” class you’ll cut steel with a torch and weld the pieces back together. You’ll be introduced to arc, mig, and gas welding. Welding Workshop is designed for beginners or anyone who wants a refresher class – no knowledge of welding is required! This class fills up fast so book it soon. Wear work clothes & sturdy shoes.
Table Saw Class
Wednesday, May 6, 6pm to 8pm. $30.00
This class will introduce you to one of the most important tools in the shop – the Table Saw. You’ll learn proper safety techniques and the variety of ways the saw can be used to expand your woodworking ability. You’ll get hands-on experience in ripping and cross-cutting boards and the information you learn can be applied to the DIYcave Table Saw Certification.
*No loose clothing or dangling hair for this class!!
DIY Drywall Repair
Saturday, May 9th, 1pm to 3pm. $35.00
Come learn how to repair most common drywall issues with basic tools. We have a large cube of drywall to damage and repair. The class is taught by Aaron Leis, a local drywall expert with over 20 years of business here in Central Oregon. Wear clothes and shoes that can get a little dirty.
