This Technique™ compact soldering kit includes a small butane torch and a variety of accessories that allow you to set up anywhere and get to work. Use the flat-bottomed ceramic dish and borax bar to create a flux slurry that you apply to protect sensitive areas of your workpiece against heat as you solder; simply add a few to several drops of distilled water to the inside of the dish, then rub the bar carefully but vigorously against the ceramic until you produce a pastelike slurry. Apply the flux to the piece using the included flux brush. The soldering block is made of vermiculite, durable and heat resistant—ideal for soldering tasks. The kit includes both easy and medium solders, for versatility and efficiency.
