NEW! Fused Glass 102 - Stripes, Dots & Dishes: Intro to Fusing and Slumping
About This Class:

Discover the timeless charm of stripes and dots while learning the foundational techniques of glass fusing and slumping in this hands-on class. Whether you prefer bold contrasts or subtle designs, this class offers endless possibilities for creative expression.

In this class, you'll:

  • Learn the basics of glass and heat interaction

  • Practice cutting, scoring, and breaking glass

  • Experiment with glass rods and colorful sheet glass

  • Explore mold types and understand firing and annealing schedules

  • Design and create your own 6-inch fused and slumped dish

With guidance from our instructors and access to a variety of tools and materials, you'll walk away with a beautiful finished dish and a solid understanding of how to shape glass with heat and form.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Glass fusing is the process of joining compatible sheet glasses together in a kiln until the glass fuses at approximately 1490 degrees Fahrenheit. It grants you the power to create colorful, dynamic works of glass art that are completely unique. Unlike many other glass forms, glass fusing allows you as much time as you need to bring your designs to life since you are working with the glass while it is cold.

Your fused glass projects will stay at the studio after the workshop to be fired in our kiln. We will notify you as soon as they’re ready to be picked up! *Shipping is available for an additional cost.
